Launch preparations for the SES 10 communications satellite, the first spacecraft to ride a reused Falcon 9 booster to space, are on track for a late March blastoff from Florida, officials said.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket is set for liftoff from Cape Canaveral on Wednesday evening, heading due east over the Atlantic Ocean to deliver the SES 11/EchoStar 105 communications satellite into orbit 36 minutes later.
As Hurricane Matthew churns ever closer to the United States, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station have begun preparations for possible impacts from the storm.
