Video: Last minute technical problem scrubs Falcon 9 launch

The launch of a Falcon 9 rocket on a space station resupply run was aborted 13 seconds before liftoff when ground controllers were alerted to a potential problem with the vehicle’s second stage steering system.

Safety panel says much work left to do before commercial crew ships fly

NASA safety advisors on Thursday lauded hardware milestones on Boeing and SpaceX commercial crew capsules, but said multiple technical issues, including problems with parachutes, must be resolved before the human-rated ships are ready to carry astronauts, adding that both companies continue to pursue schedules that appear to be unachievable.

NASA confirms plans for Crew Dragon splashdown Aug. 2, weather permitting

Assuming good weather and a smooth final few weeks on the International Space Station, astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken are scheduled to undock from the orbiting research outpost Aug. 1 and return to Earth the next day to wrap up a 64-day test flight of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spaceship.
