Astronauts eager to see results of Crew Dragon test flight

The astronauts assigned to fly SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft beginning later this year said Friday they are excited for the capsule’s first orbital mission set for launch Saturday, but significant work remains before the ship is cleared to carry people.

SpaceX launched its first mission of 2020 on Monday night from Cape Canaveral. A Falcon 9 rocket carried 60 satellites into orbit for SpaceX’s Starlink Internet network.

Taking another step toward flying space tourists to the edge of space, Jeff Bezos’s space company Blue Origin again flew its New Shepard suborbital booster Thursday with a package of microgravity research experiments.
