Most parts of the joint European-Russian ExoMars lander and rover are nearly ready for launch, but trouble with parachutes, electronics, software and concerns about the growing coronavirus pandemic have delayed the mission’s departure to Mars from this year until 2022, officials announced Thursday. 

Stormy weather at the Kennedy Space Center forced SpaceX to scrub the liftoff of a Falcon Heavy rocket Thursday night carrying the ViaSat 3 Americas broadband satellite to a near-geostationary orbit.

SpaceX scrubbed the planned launch of its next set of Starlink satellites Friday. A Falcon 9 rocket is awaiting liftoff from pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida with 57 Starlink Internet satellites and two commercial Earth-imaging microsatellites for BlackSky.
