SpaceX, NASA conduct static fire test of a Falcon 9 rocket ahead of the Crew-11 launch

The rescheduled test came a day after a launch day rehearsal with the Crew-11 astronauts and cosmonaut in the loop, referred to as a dry dress rehearsal. The Crew-11 launch is currently scheduled for Thursday, July 31 at 12:09 p.m. EDT (1609 UTC).

The Starlink 17-2 mission will be SpaceX’s 92nd launch of 2025. The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from pad 4 East at 9:31 p.m. PDT (12:31 a.m. EDT / 0431 UTC).

The Starlink 10-26 mission will add another 28 satellites into the constellation of more than 8,000 on orbit. SpaceX executed liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 5:01 a.m. EDT (0901 UTC).

NASA probes to study how the solar wind triggers potentially dangerous ‘space weather’

SpaceX launched twin satellites for NASA Wednesday that will study how the electrically-charged solar wind interacts with Earth’s magnetic field, creating constantly changing and occasionally dangerous “space weather” affecting satellites, electrical grids and other critical systems.

A total of 11 spacecraft will be deployed beginning about 1.5 hours after liftoff. SpaceX is aiming to launch the mission from pad 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base on July 23 at 11:13 a.m. PDT (2:13 p.m. EDT, 1813 UTC).
