Poor weather halts SpaceX launch attempt of Indonesian communications satellite for second day in a row

The Nusantara Lima satellite is designed to augment communications in the region alongside Indonesia’s Satria satellite, which launched in June 2023. SpaceX is targeting liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Base on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m. EDT (0000 UTC).

The Starlink 17-9 mission added another 24 broadband satellites to its low Earth orbit constellation of more than 8,300. Liftoff from pad 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base happened at 11:06 a.m. PDT (2:06 p.m. EDT / 1806 UTC).

The Starlink 10-57 mission is also SpaceX’s 80th launch this year carrying Starlink satellites to low Earth obit. It’s targeting liftoff from pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 8:32 a.m. EDT (1232 UTC).
