Live coverage: Kennedy Space Center to reopen Friday

The launch of 60 Starlink Internet satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket Sunday from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida will mark SpaceX’s first mission to fly a Falcon first stage for a fifth time, and the second to launch with a reused payload fairing.

The Falcon 9 rocket supporting the Starlink 10-61 mission will fly on a north-easterly trajectory upon departing Florida’s Space Coast. SpaceX is targeting liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 5:30 a.m. EDT (0930 UTC).

The work isn’t over for NASA’s Ingenuity Mars helicopter. Engineers hope to fly the rotorcraft four more times in the next two weeks before calling it quits on the pioneering technology experiment, which accomplished the first powered flight of an aircraft on another planet Monday.
