A commercial Northrop Grumman Cygnus supply ship berthed at the International Space Station fired its main engine for 50 seconds Tuesday in a test of the spacecraft’s ability to reboost, and possibly eventually deorbit, the massive research outpost.

The mission is one of two Starlink flights scheduled to fly from Florida within a four-hour window of opportunity. Liftoff of the Starlink 6-85 mission from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is scheduled for 1:44 a.m. EST (0644 UTC).

A suborbital rocket booster built by Blue Origin, an entrepreneurial space firm founded by Internet tycoon Jeff Bezos, streaked into space in the skies over West Texas and descended to a pinpoint propulsive touchdown on a landing pad, the company announced Tuesday.
