Falcon 9 abort seen from press site

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket is set for liftoff from Cape Canaveral on Monday, heading due east over the Atlantic Ocean to deliver the Koreasat 5A communications satellite into orbit around 36 minutes later.

The company debuted on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “SPCX” and began trading with a massive valuation of $1.77 trillion. Liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station happened at 8:37 a.m. EDT (1237 UTC).
