Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo rocket plane, built to eventually carry commercial passengers to the edge of space, accomplished another powered test flight into the rarefied upper atmosphere Thursday with two pilots on-board.

Blue Origin’s third New Shepard suborbital booster lifted off on its first brief up-and-down test flight Tuesday, soaring to an altitude of 322,000 feet over West Texas to prove out the rocket and its automated crew capsule, which flew with a dummy dubbed “Mannequin Skywalker” to simulate the conditions passengers riding the rocket will one day experience.

The Starlink 10-22 mission will be the 75th orbital launch from Florida’s Space Coast in 2025. SpaceX launched from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 7:56 a.m. EDT (1156 UTC).
