The first flight of SpaceX’s Dragon capsule

The four astronauts, led by businessman Jared Isaacman, will fly onboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Resilience. Liftoff is targeting no earlier than Monday, August 26.

SpaceX has released new photos of last week’s thrilling rocket landing aboard a floating drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, showing the 15-story Falcon 9 first stage slowing to a hover just as it touched down on the platform.

The mission was SpaceX’s third orbital launch of the year and 99th in total from Launch Complex 39. Liftoff of the Starlink 12-11 mission occurred at 10:27 a.m. EST (1527 UTC).
