Drone’s view of Sunday’s SpaceX rocket landing

This will be the 12th launch of the year from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 4 East happened on Thursday, April 3, at 6:02 p.m. PDT (9:02 p.m. EDT, 0102 UTC).

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched shortly after midnight Tuesday from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station with Hispasat 30W-6, a communications satellite heading for a position more than 22,000 miles over the equator to serve markets in Europe, North Africa and the Americas.

Veteran astronauts Soichi Noguchi and Shannon Walker have been assigned to fly to the International Space Station on SpaceX’s second piloted Crew Dragon mission later this year, joining commander Mike Hopkins and astronaut Victor Glover on a planned six-month expedition in orbit.
