Drone’s view of Sunday’s SpaceX rocket landing

A Northrop Grumman Antares rocket rolled out of its hangar Monday night, riding a self-propelled transporter for a mile-long trip to launch pad 0A on Wallops Island, Virginia, for a predawn liftoff Thursday with a Cygnus supply ship heading for the International Space Station.

The U.S. military’s next GPS navigation satellite moved to a SpaceX launch facility late Thursday at Cape Canaveral, ready for attachment with a Falcon 9 rocket for liftoff June 30 to take the place of an aging GPS spacecraft launched from Florida’s Space Coast more than 20 years ago.

The Starlink 17-41 mission was SpaceX’s 10th and final launch of May. Liftoff of the Falcon 9 rocket from pad 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base happened at 8:25 a.m. PDT (11:25 a.m. EDT / 1525 UTC).
