Nuri • Chajung No. 3

A Nuri rocket from the Korea Aerospace Research Institute launched 13 satellites into a Sun-synchronous orbit. The primary payload is described as the next-generation medium-sized satellite No. 3 or Chajung No. 3. According to a Google translation of the mission, the Chajung No. 3 is designed “to observe the Earth’s aurora, atmospheric light and magnetic field in the space environment.” This was the fourth launch of a Nuri rocket and the first night launch of the vehicle.
