A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched a classified payload on behalf of the National Reconnaissance Office. This was the second NRO mission launched by SpaceX as part of the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Phase 2 contract awarded in August 2020. About 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the first stage booster, tail number B1096, flying for a fourth time, landed at Landing Zone 2.
