A Rocket Lab Electron rocket launched the QPS-SAR-12 satellite, nicknamed KUSHINADA-I, for Japan-based Earth imaging company, Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS). The satellite will head into a circular, low Earth orbit at 575 km in altitude. This was the fifth mission for iQPS on an Electron rocket. This was also the 69th launch of an Electron rocket to date.
