Video: The New Horizons team hold news conference after flyby declared a success

Rocket Lab successfully launched five small satellites from New Zealand Saturday for customers in the United States and Australia, including a CubeSat with a novel swarm of tiny magnetometers to measure the plasma currents that shape colorful auroras.

NASA’s Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) will be the primary payload on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launching no earlier than Sep. 23. The vehicle is joined by the Carruthers Geocorona Observatory and NOAA’s Space Weather Follow-On – Lagrange 1 (SWFO-L1) observatory.

NASA officials plan to host a news conference at 2 p.m. EST (1900 GMT) Monday to update the status of the Perseverance rover’s mission on Mars. During the briefing, NASA is expected to release first-of-its-kind video captured by the mission during its descent to the Red Planet.
