Officials from SpaceX, NOAA, NASA and the U.S. Air Force hold the prelaunch news conference for Falcon 9 rocket launch of the Deep Space Climate Observatory.
A problem with a U.S. Air Force tracking radar kept a Falcon 9 rocket crowned with a NOAA space weather observatory grounded Sunday, forcing a long-delayed mission to stay on Earth an extra day.
The next liftoff of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket has been reset for no earlier than Feb. 8, NOAA and NASA officials said Tuesday, apparently to give the launch provider more time to prepare for the mission.
