A Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV)-F15 rocket from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched the NVS-02 satellite, the second of five planned satellites that make up India’s Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC). It will operate in geostationary Earth orbit at the 111.75 degrees East position, replacing the IRNSS-1E satellite. The mission was the 100th launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR.
