Live coverage: Ariane 5 rocket deploys satellites for Australia, India

Eight satellites blasted off Monday on top of an Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, including an instrument to track tropical cyclones, a pathfinder for a U.S.-owned commercial Earth observation fleet, and multiple spacecraft for Algeria.

A television broadcasting satellite for Eutelsat launched Friday atop a Russian Proton rocket to begin a 15-year mission beaming TV programming into homes across Europe. The Proton rocket lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 2220 GMT (5:20 p.m. EST) Friday.

The first Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket goes upright at launch pad 39A soon after sunrise on 10 May 2018. The rocket is due to launch the Bangabandhu 1 communications satellite for the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
