The third servicing call to NASA's Hubble Space Telescope was launched aboard Discovery on December 19, 1999 at 7:50 p.m. The crew was commander Curt Brown, pilot Scott Kelly and mission specialists Steve Smith, Mike Foale, John Grunsfeld, Claude Nicollier and Jean-Francois Clervoy.
