Endeavour carried the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission payload into orbit to map a majority of the Earth's surface in 3-D. Launch occurred at 12:43 p.m. on February 11, 2000. The crew was commander Kevin Kregel, pilot Dom Gorie and mission specialists Janet Kavandi, Janice Voss, Mamoru Mohri and Gerhard Thiele.
