The final Spacelab mission was Neurolab. Launch of occurred on April 17, 1998 at 2:19 p.m. The science research flight focused on the effects of microgravity on the nervous system. The crew was led by commander Rick Searfoss, with pilot Scott Altman, mission specialists Rick Linnehan, Dafydd Williams and Kay Hire and payload specialists Jay Buckey and Jim Pawelczyk.
