 Forecast for Sunday, April 6

Issued: Saturday, April 5
Launch Weather Officer: Johnny Weems, 45th Weather Squadron

Synoptic Discussion: "Based on current numerical guidance, conditions are more favorable for Sunday morning. Slight chance of late Saturday afternoon/evening showers and/or thunderstorms, mainly inland, could affect pre-launch activities. Concerns for Sunday morning are layered cloudiness and precipitation aloft. The western edge of a high pressure ridge located over Central Florida will continue to block any significant frontal movement into the local area through midweek. However increasing moisture and warm temperatures will contribute to an increased threat of afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday."

Clouds: Scattered at 3,000 feet with 2-3/8ths sky coverage and tops at 5,000 feet; Scattered-to-broken at 14,000 feet with 4-5/8ths sky coverage and tops at 18,000 feet; and Broken at 26,000 feet with 3-4/8ths sky coverage and tops at 29,000 feet
