Atlantis returned to the international space station to finish outfitting the complex in advance of the Expedition One crew's arrival. Launch occurred at 8:45 a.m. on September 8, 2000. The crew was commander Terry Wilcutt, pilot Scott Altman and mission specialists Dan Burbank, Ed Lu, Rick Mastracchio, Yuri Malenchenko and Boris Morukov.
