Atlantis launched on the seventh Shuttle-Mir docking mission on September 25, 1997 at 10:34 p.m. Dave Wolf was flown to the Russian space station to replace Mike Foale, who returned to Earth aboard the shuttle. Atlantis' crew was commander Jim Wetherbee, pilot Mike Bloomfield and mission specialists Vladimar Titov, Scott Parazynski, Jean-Loup Chretien and Wendy Lawrence.
