STS-80

The Wake Shield Facility made its third flight while the German-built Orbiting and Retrievable Far and Extreme Ultraviolet Spectrograph-Shuttle Pallet Satellite flew for the second time when Columbia launched on November 19, 1996 at 2:55 p.m. The two craft were deployed and retrieved during the mission. The crew was commander Ken Cockrell, with pilot Kent Rominger and mission specialists Tammy Jernigan, Tom Jones and Story Musgrave.
