Endeavour launched on May 19, 1996, at 6:30 a.m. with a Spacehab module and the Spartan 207 satellite with the Inflatable Antenna Experiment that deployed and later recovered during the mission. The crew was commanded by John Casper, with pilot Curt Brown and mission specialists Dan Bursch, Mario Runco, Marc Garneau and Andy Thomas.
