Rocket trouble delays launch of ESA's ice mission

Shuttle heat shield cleared; crew to open new module
The shuttle Endeavour's heat shield - the protective tiles on the ship's belly and the critical carbon composite nose cap and wing leading edge panels - has been cleared for re-entry after a detailed analysis of post-launch imagery and sensor data, NASA officials said Friday.

International Space Station receives its Tranquility
The new Tranquility module became part of the International Space Station at 1:20 a.m. EST Friday, giving the orbiting outpost a new utility room and gym with a grand window on the world. Spacewalkers Bob Behnken and Nick Patrick prepped the module for removal from the shuttle payload bay and then worked to install umbilicals after it was attached to the station.

NASA is not abandoning efforts to develop a new heavy lift booster in the wake of the Obama administration's decision to cancel NASA's moon program, agency Administrator Charles Bolden said Saturday.
