Virtual Reality: Atlantis rollout SPACEFLIGHT NOW
As space shuttle Atlantis rolled atop Kennedy Space Center's launch pad 39A , Spaceflight Now was there to capture this 360-degree panorama. Atlantis was moved 3.5-miles from the assembly building to the pad by a crawler transporter with a top speed of one-mile per hour. The shuttle, mobile launch platform and transporter together weigh about 11 million pounds! Click onto the picture, hold your mouse button and move the arrow to see the full 360-degree panorama (329k QuickTime VR file). |
