Shuttle Atlantis moves to VAB, but only for storage

Take a look around the 52-story Vehicle Assembly Building where shuttle Atlantis now sits parked in the center transfer aisle for storage.

The VAB was once used to hoist the orbiters vertically and attach them to external fuel tanks and twin solid rocket boosters aboard mobile launching platforms.
