![]() ![]() The second flight for the ATLAS package of atmospheric experiments for NASA's Mission to Planet Earth program was launched aboard Discovery on April 8, 1993, at 1:29 a.m. The mission also deployed the Spartan 201 solar studies satellite, which was retrieved later in the mission. Discovery was commanded by Ken Cameron, with pilot Stephen Oswald and mission specialists Mike Foale, Ken Cockrell and Ellen Ochoa. |
