The United States Microgravity Laboratory and the first long-duration space shuttle mission launched at 12:12 p.m. on June 25, 1992. Columbia's crew was led by commander Dick Richards, pilot Ken Bowersox, mission specialists Bonnie Dunbar, Ellen Baker and Carl Meade and payload specialists Lawrence DeLucas and Eugene Trinh.
