The space shuttle Columbia lifts off from the Kennedy Space Center last July 23 carrying NASA's newest Great Observatory, the Chandra X-ray Observatory. Eileen Collins became the first woman to command a space mission also on STS-93. Source video: NASA TV (285k, 23sec QuickTime file).
