Russian Molnia rocket launches spy satellite SPACEFLIGHT NOW Posted: Dec. 29, 1999 A Molnia M rocket successfully launched the Cosmos 2368 reconnassiance satellite for the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday, Itar-Tass reported. Liftoff from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russian occurred at 1912 GMT (2:12 p.m. EST). The new spacecraft joins Cosmos 2367 launched on Sunday from Baikonur atop a Tsiklon booster. The launch was the last one planned in 1999 for Russia. |
