Starship • Integrated Flight Test

A SpaceX Super Heavy booster and Starship launch vehicle launched on the first fully integrated test flight of the new rocket. The mission ended four minutes after liftoff with a self-destruct command, following loss of vehicle control. If everything went according to plan, the mission would have traveled around the world for nearly one full orbit, resulting in a re-entry and splashdown of the Starship near Hawaii. The mission was attempting to reach near orbital velocity. The Super Heavy booster would have targeted a controlled splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico. Delayed from 2022. Scrubbed on April 17.
