PSLV-C61 • EOS-09

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched a medium-lift Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) XL rocket, designated PSLV-C61, carrying an Earth-observing, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite called Radar Imaging Satellite-1B (RISAT-1B) which was supposed to enter a Sun-synchronous orbit at 529 km in altitude. The satellite is also referred to as Earth Observation Satellite-09 (EOS-09). Launch failed due to a third stage issue.
