Spectators turned out at Playalinda Beach to view Friday evening's launch of an Atlas 5 rocket with a U.S. Navy communications satellite. The booster blasted off at 5:15 p.m. EST (2215 GMT) from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.
These views were captured less than 5 miles north of the launch pad.
