Astronauts on the International Space Station captured remarkable imagery of Wednesday's docking of a European resupply craft.

NASA astronaut Don Pettit snapped several photos for his blog, and ESA flight engineer Andre Kuipers tweeted photos from orbit. The last image shows Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and Kuipers manning a control console inside the Zvezda service module.

The Automated Transfer Vehicle, christened Edoardo Amaldi after an Italian physicist, docked with the space station at 2231 GMT (6:31 p.m. EDT) on Wednesday, delivering nearly 7.3 tons of cargo, propellant, water and air.
