Soyuz rocket launches Expedition 31 crew

Embarking on a four-month mission to utilize the International Space Station and conduct diverse research at the orbiting laboratory, NASA astronaut Joe Acaba and Russian cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin rocketed off the planet aboard a Soyuz booster from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan.
