PHOTOS: Enterprise flies over future home

Space shuttle Enterprise flew up the U.S. East Coast from Washington to New York on Friday, flying piggyback atop a Boeing 747 carrier aircraft over Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and other landmarks before landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

These photos were taken from the deck of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier, the future home of Enterprise, the shuttle fleet's prototype test vehicle.
