Discovery finally reaches launch pad

After 12 hours of slogging through muddy conditions, NASA's Apollo-era crawler transporter delivered Discovery to launch pad 39A around midday Tuesday. The shuttle arrived at the pad gate around 11 a.m. EDT and was lowered atop the pad's pedestals at 1:50 p.m. EDT.
