Cable connections

Spacewalkers Ed Lu and Yuri Malenchenko plan to install a strip of four power cables (pictured here in yellow) stretching 26.9 feet, that will permit electricity generated by future U.S. solar arrays to power systems in Russian modules as needed. Video and data cables, also in a strip of four, stretch 16 feet.

Mission Status
Atlantis made a safe touchdown at 3:56 a.m. EDT today at Kennedy Space Center.

Shuttle Atlantis has successfully completed the deorbit burn, beginning the trek out of orbit.

Weather conditions at the Kennedy Space Center will cooperate today for landing.
