Endeavour launches on Earth radar mapping mission

Space shuttle Endeavour lifts off at (1743:40 GMT) 12:43:40 p.m. EST from pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The shuttle and its six international astronauts will use a radar system to generate a 3D map of the Earth's surface elevation. Source video: NASA TV (480k, 44sec QuickTime file).
