Photos from inside the Pegasus hangar

Spaceflight Now visited Orbital Sciences' Pegasus rocket assembly hangar at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on August 21. Technicians had just welcomed NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer spacecraft and the Star 27 kick motor into Building 1555 for attachment to the three-stage Pegasus.

This collection of photos shows the winged rocket and its cargo. The small IBEX satellite can be seen in front of the rocket, suspended on an overhead crane. The solid-fuel kick stage, resting just below the spacecraft, is wrapped in a protective bagging.
