Photos: PSLV lifts off with Indo-French payload
An Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle blasted off at 11 a.m. local time (0530 GMT; 1:30 a.m. EDT) Wednesday from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on India's east coast. The 14-story rocket carried the Indo-French Megha-Tropiques climate satellite into orbit.
