Synoptic Discussion: "Widespread afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are again expected today and Thursday. An overall decrease in coverage of afternoon thunderstorms is expected on Friday as high pressure begins to build in from the east.

"During the countdown and launch window, the only concerns will be for late night cumulus clouds forming along the coast and possible anvil clouds from nearby thunderstorms over the Gulf Stream."

Clouds: Cumulus scattered at 3,000 feet and tops at 12,000 feet; Cirrostratus scattered at 20,000 feet and tops at 21,000 feet

Visibility: 10 miles

Launch Pad Winds: Southerly from 160 degrees at 8 gusting to 15 knots

Temperature: 76 to 78 degrees F

Relative Humidity: 90 percent

Weather: Thunderstorms over the Gulf Stream
