Delta 2 rocket readied for launch
In the predawn darkness at Vandenberg Air Force Base's Space Launch Complex 2 pad, the United Launch Alliance Delta 2 rocket counts down toward the planned 11:38 a.m. PDT liftoff carrying the WorldView 2 commercial Earth-imaging satellite.
