SPACEFLIGHT NOW DIGITAL VIDEO
Posted: April 21, 2000

A time-lapsed movie shows the 12-story mobile service tower being rolled away from the Boeing Delta 2 rocket at launch pad 17A on Friday afternoon. The MST encloses the rocket during its stay on the pad, then is retracted away a few hours before liftoff. The video plays back at ten times normal speed. The actual rollback took 10 minutes to complete. Source video: Spaceflight Now (278k, 55sec QuickTime file).
