Issued: Monday, January 16
Launch Weather Officer: 45th Weather Squadron
Synoptic Discussion: "The peninsula will remain under high pressure into Tuesday.
"For the MLP roll on Monday, winds will be Southerly at 8 gusting to 14 knots.
"For launch day, a cold front will be located in the panhandle with an increasing pressure gradient and strengthening winds from the South. The primary concerns for launch day are gusty Southerly winds, isolated coastal showers and associated thick clouds.
"In the event of a 24 hour delay, the cold front is expected to approach Central Florida late Tuesday evening with frontal passage Wednesday morning. Expect gusty winds from the West at 25 knots gusting to 35 knots through the morning hours with a clearing trend in the afternoon hours. There is a small chance of isolated thunderstorms associated with the front. The primary concerns for a 24 hour delay are associated with the timing uncertainty of the frontal passage: gusty winds, thick clouds, cumulus clouds, gusty winds, and a small chance of an isolated embedded thunderstorm."
